The first part contains a report by Joseph Sihaba, a young African who worked at the Benedictine station inPeramiho. He describes the threatening situation in July/August 1905, the attack on the station and his flight. Brother Cyrillus Wehrmeister then writes about his flight with the Benedictine missionaries and their African converts from the Songea region over Lake Nyasa to present-day Malawi in September 1905.
