II. Content
The article reports that reinforcement from Triest to Dar es Salaam under von Schlichting began on 20 August 1905. The situation was still not fully under control in the districts of Lindi and Mikindan. The marine commander von Schlichting declared that Lindi was in danger, but recent news did not confirm this. The warship "Bussard" went to Sadani to prevent riots there. The governor gave information about the police suppression of the rising near Manoranengo. He also confirmed news of fights on the middle Rufiji where Paasche was said to have won a bloody battle without any casualties on his side. There was further fighting in the Matumbi Mountains.
III. Further Remarks
The article describes the situation in the southern regions of the colony. It uses several sources such as, for instance, a telegram from the commander of the warship "Bussard" and some information from Governor von Goetzen.
