II. Content
This article examines the role of the Arab population in the Maji Maji rebellion. The author refers to competition in the trading sector between Arab, Indian and European groups, as well as to the Arab uprising in 1895 [1889]. He attempts to prove his allegations of the Arab origin of the Maji Maji uprising by citing a book by R. N. Lyne, but leaves open how the Maji Maji doctrine moved to the Matumbi area. He suggests that the government pay more attention to "medicine men".
